Bred by the late John and Alice Pratt, this black near leopard mare is a "Kemos Fire Shadow" daughter out of "Pratt Miss Pepper" and backs Calico up with some 35 years and four generations of fabulous Foundation breeding.
this mare is level headed and unshakable. Once conditioned for, and meeting the rigors of Polo, Calico has been retired to working trails and being a positive public role model for the breed. But......on her time and in her herd, she is the Alpha. It is incredible to watch the dynamics between she and the herd sire of her group, My Silver Eagle. Incredibly in tune with each other and the internal instinct to preserve and protect the herd, it leaves little doubt that she should be passing on her strong foundation genetics!

She captures that perfectly muscled old line look, moves like the wind, and when she hits the skids, no one is sliding off of her withers! her neck and head set are up hill as an alert horse should be, effectively giving her the "look"! As a bonus, Sky is a strongly gaited mare, passing the gait consistently to her foals.
